"His name's
Ogrest. I drew several portraits, and even made a model," announced the
Sram. He spread everything out in front of the woman standing in the shadows. "So?" she replied dryly… But how did this story lead to the creation of the
Ogrest pack in the
Ankama Shop today?!
A twig cracked under his foot. An unforgivable mistake for a Sram! Eroz Erocet stopped short. In the clearing, the small green being had abruptly stopped playing and looked over at the thick foliage. His face up, he seemed to sniff the air. The Sram held his breath. Tickled by a butterfly that had just landed on his nose, the child burst out laughing. Then, like all children, his mood changed suddenly and he lay down in the grass and went to sleep.
Erocet withdrew silently to the cover of the trees. He pulled a leaf and pencil out of this bag and started drawing another portrait of the strange creature.
"Just one more," he said to himself. He'd already been hiding on Otomai Island for a few days now, and every additional hour he spent there now increased his risk of being discovered and failing his mission. For Eroz Erocet, the specter of failure was unbearable, and his reputation among spy circles was spotless.
So spotless in fact that the mysterious woman had contacted him…

"You can remove your blindfold, Erocet."
Only the voice, albeit slightly husky, gave the Sram a clue that she was a woman. Her face carefully hidden by the hood of a large robe that covered her body without revealing her figure, she dismissed the two Iops who had just escorted him, blindfolded, through the streets of Bonta to his host.
"Who are you? And how did you find me?" asked the Sram, torn between curiosity and an imperceptible hint of worry. The room was dark, barely lit by a candle whose flame cast flickering shadows on the walls. His interlocutor was sitting in a corner, behind a desk covered in books and papers.
"Who I am is of no importance. As for you, who doesn't know the famous agent, Eroz Erocet?" continued the woman in an ironic tone, gently petting a white Angora Bow Meow curled up on her lap.
"I'm told you have a job for me. What is it exactly?"
"I'm sure you've heard of an alchemist called Otomai. He lives on an isolated island that is very difficult to reach. He's a very wary man, not very forthcoming. We need to know what he's working on, what he's thinking. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to visit the island and learn as much about him as you can. Of course, should you be discovered, we shall deny ever having been in contact with you."
"Hmmmm… Alright! But tell me, who's hiding behind that 'we'?"
"Leave immediately!" she said in an uncompromising tone. "You can name your price. My men will take you home."
At the snap of her fingers, the two Iops were back in the room and putting the blindfold back on him.
"One last thing, Erocet…"
"I'm listening!"
"Don't disappoint us!" The threat was as real as it was implicit. For Erocet, failure was unthinkable.

Erocet hadn't discovered much about Otomai's intentions. A rapid, discreet search during one of the alchemist's walks hadn't revealed anything. Besides, what exactly was he looking for? His "client" was nice – so to speak – but her instructions were rather limited. At most, he'd grabbed a few drawings – magnificent ones at that – of people that, in his eyes, were perfect nobodies just in case.
But the small green being that he'd initially taken for a boring child fascinated him immensely! Madam Whosit would surely be interested… But what he'd seen was so incredible that he needed proof, or at least something tangible to show. So, he started drawing portraits of the child who, he learned, answered to the name of Ogrest.
Once he finished his last sketch, Erocet headed off discreetly into the forest, back to the cave he'd been living in for the last few days where had hidden his boat. He would have to wait until nightfall. Hit with sudden inspiration, he grabbed a handful of mud and, referring to his drawings, tried to make a figurine of Ogrest.
***
The room was just as unwelcoming, and his interlocutor just as cold as before.
"So?!" she said dryly when he showed her the portraits and the figurine. "Are you looking to take up a career in the arts? That's not what I paid you for!"
"Calm down. This little creature has a strange power: It can tell a real Dofus from a fake Dofus! I saw it with my own eyes! Even better – or worse – I saw it touch the Ochre Dofus in Otomai's possession and… it was incredible! I swear, the kid got bigger and bulkier! His jaw even changed. Look at this drawing. It's what I think he might look like if the phenomenon were to keep happening."
"Interesting… interesting…" murmured the hooded figure. "Could it be that…"
Lifting her head, she stared at the Sram as if he'd just appeared in front of her. Abruptly, she said:
"Good work, Erocet. Good work. You'll be rewarded appropriately…"
